D\u2019autres sont compactes, denses, compos\u00e9es principalement de roches et de m\u00e9taux. Ce sont ces derni\u00e8res que l\u2019on appelle <strong>les plan\u00e8tes rocheuses<\/strong>, ou plan\u00e8tes telluriques.<\/p>\n<p>Il en existe quatre : Mercure, V\u00e9nus, la Terre et Mars. Elles occupent la r\u00e9gion interne du syst\u00e8me solaire, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la zone la plus proche du Soleil. : silicates (roches) et m\u00e9taux. Contrairement aux g\u00e9antes gazeuses, elles poss\u00e8dent une surface solide identifiable.<\/p>\n<p>Leur structure interne suit g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un mod\u00e8le en couches :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Un noyau m\u00e9tallique<\/strong>, souvent riche en fer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Un manteau rocheux<\/strong>, constitu\u00e9 de silicates.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Une cro\u00fbte<\/strong>, plus fine, en surface.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cette diff\u00e9renciation interne est le r\u00e9sultat de la chaleur initiale accumul\u00e9e lors de leur formation et de la d\u00e9sint\u00e9gration d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments radioactifs dans leurs premi\u00e8res centaines de millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Pourquoi_sont-elles_proches_du_Soleil\"><\/span>2) Pourquoi sont-elles proches du Soleil ?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>La position des plan\u00e8tes rocheuses n\u2019est pas un hasard. Lors de la formation du syst\u00e8me solaire, seules les mati\u00e8res r\u00e9sistantes aux temp\u00e9ratures \u00e9lev\u00e9es pouvaient se condenser pr\u00e8s du jeune Soleil. Ses \u00e9carts de temp\u00e9rature sont extr\u00eames. Cette activit\u00e9 d\u00e9pend principalement de leur taille et de leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 conserver la chaleur interne.<\/p>\n<p>Les plus petites plan\u00e8tes refroidissent plus vite.
